Fabrication-data review
Layer set, drill files, board outline, and fabrication notes are checked for completeness and internal conflicts before quoting.
Stackup and material confirmation
Layer count, laminate, copper weights, and finished thickness are confirmed against your drawing, with alternatives proposed only when needed.
Surface finish and solder mask
ENIG, HASL, immersion silver, OSP and other finishes; mask and legend colors per your notes.
Controlled impedance and special requirements
Impedance targets, via fill, edge plating, and other special processes are confirmed as capability items at review.
Prototype through production panels
Small quantities for prototypes; panelized production runs when the design is released.
Inspection to your notes
Electrical test and visual inspection are planned per project and documented with the build.
Inputs for an accurate quote
Gerber (RS-274X) or ODB++, drill files, fabrication drawing or notes, quantity and schedule. Most projects arrive with some of this; the file review lists exactly what is missing and nothing is ordered until the package supports it.
Questions about pcb fabrication
Can you fabricate from a native CAD file instead of Gerbers?
We prefer Gerber (RS-274X) or ODB++ because they are the formats the facility will actually run. If you only have a native board file, say so in the request — in many cases we can arrange export, but you will be asked to approve the generated data before fabrication.
Do you offer a design-for-manufacturing (DFM) check on bare boards?
The file review flags fabrication issues the facility identifies — acid traps, insufficient annular ring, mask slivers, drill-to-copper conflicts — and returns them as one list for your decision before the board is ordered.
Can bare boards ship directly to us or to another assembler?
Yes. Fabrication can be quoted on its own, with boards shipped to your destination. If assembly follows with Atherton Forge, the hand-off is planned inside one schedule.
