Testing and firmware programming, to your criteria
Firmware loading from your images, functional test to your procedures and acceptance criteria, and inspection planning agreed before the build starts. Results are documented per build and shared with you.
Quoted after a file and capability review. Facility and manufacturing origin are confirmed with you in writing before work begins.
What the service covers
Firmware programming
Pre-programmed components or in-circuit programming from your images, with versions recorded per build.
Functional test coordination
Tests run to your procedures and acceptance criteria; fixture needs scoped per project.
Inspection planning
Visual, automated optical, and X-ray inspection points agreed in advance according to the board and its risk.
Results documentation
Test and inspection outcomes recorded per build and available to you.
Nonconformance handling
Failures are documented, contained, root-caused with the facility, and closed, with you informed at each step.
Process validation for repeat orders
Issues found in test feed back into the build documentation before repeat runs are released.
Inputs for an accurate quote
Firmware images, programming method, test procedure or acceptance criteria, fixture details if you have them. Most projects arrive with some of this; the file review lists exactly what is missing and nothing is ordered until the package supports it.
Questions about testing and programming
Can you program microcontrollers before or after assembly?
Either. Pre-programmed parts can be sourced or consigned, or devices can be programmed in-circuit after assembly via your specified interface. The method and firmware version are recorded per build.
What if we don’t have a formal test procedure yet?
Tell us what “working” means for your board — power-on behavior, communication checks, indicator states. The review turns that into an agreed acceptance list; formal procedures can follow as the product matures.
Do you provide test reports?
Yes. Results are documented per build — pass and fail counts, failure modes, and dispositions — and shared with you.
Send what you have. We’ll tell you what’s needed.
Complete manufacturing packages and early prototypes are reviewed the same way — by one accountable partner who stays with the project from prototype to repeat production.
